Expert Interview: “Working Smoke Detectors Save Lives!”

October is Fire Prevention Month. Every year in the United States, about 3,000 people lose their lives in residential fires. One of the leading causes of death is from the inhalation of smoke and toxic gases, not from burns. Smoke travels farther and faster than flames.

In this week’s blog, I have the privilege of interviewing Lieutenant Brad Paltzer. Brad is a 20-year veteran of the Grand Chute, WI Fire Department, Local 3655. Brad has been involved in fire prevention and public education for 13 years. Click here for more Information
